Junior Program System Engineer

Our 18-month Booster Program for Junior System Engineers offers you individual and practice-oriented training in the areas of hardware, software and cloud solutions. Our dual training program combines theoretical knowledge with practical implementation of what you have learned. At the end of the training, you will be a certified engineer for Cisco, Dell or Microsoft. The following specializations are possible and will be worked out according to your wishes during your training plan:

  • Junior System Engineer
  • Junior Data Center Engineer
  • Junior Network Engineer

What you have to offer

  • Technical knowledge in the field of information technology, acquired through relevant work experience (EFZ or other), with a degree in information technology or a corresponding degree (Bachelor or equivalent)
  • Very good knowledge of written and spoken English, German or French or Italian an advantage
  • Start of the program: Once a year in January

Security Analyst Junior Program

The two-year apprenticeship gives you an introduction to working as a security analyst. Based in one of our three Security Operation Centres (SOC), which protect the operations of Swisscom and our customers, you will be employed on a 60–100% contract. In the first year, you will learn the ropes as part of your team, and in the second year you will gain further experience in the other SOCs. The training includes CompTIA CySA+ certification, product certifications and training on internal processes.

What you have to offer

  • We are looking for: People with a degree in computer science/cyber security or studying these subjects, or candidates who have completed an ICT apprenticeship with an affinity for security. Applications from career changers are also welcome
  • Good level of proficiency in German and English
  • Program start: Annually in summer

DevOps Engineer Security

The on-the-job training as a DevOps Engineer Security enables you to enter Swisscom's cyber security. As part of the DevOps team, you will further develop our security services and ensure the quality of our services in daily operations. In the first year of the program, you will be trained by your future team in their daily business. In the second year, you will spend 6 months in a different DevOps security team to gain additional experience. After completing the program, you will work permanently in the team that trained you in the first year.

  • Flair for DevOps and degree (EFZ) in ICT (preferably computer science) or current/completed studies in computer science or cyber security
  • Good German and English
  • Programme start: August/September (employment level: 60 -100%)

Security Consulting Junior Program

As a Security Consultant in our Junior Program, you have the opportunity to gain valuable experience in IT security. The 2-year program is aimed at university graduates or career changers who want to start or further their career in the field of IT security. You will work in different areas of security consulting and learn valuable knowledge from experienced colleagues. This program offers you the unique opportunity to develop your skills and get started as a security consultant.

What you have to offer

  • We are looking for committed and motivated people with a degree in computer science, cyber security or similar, at university or after ICT apprenticeship, with a flair for consulting, network security, IT infrastructure and system architecture./li>
  • Very good German and English
  • Program start: Once a year in autumn

Data & Analytics Junior Program

You will embark on a traditional consulting programme when you join us: In the first few weeks, you will be able to demonstrate your skills while working on customer projects. You will acquire methodological, social and technical skills on the job and get to know different customers, processes and technologies. You will discuss the annual goals and your long-term development with your team leader and your mentor. In the first year, you will complete one or two technical certifications (e.g. Microsoft Azure Data Engineer). Together with the project experience you have acquired, your market value increases gradually and you may be promoted to a consultant after just one to two years. Step by step, you will acquire the skills to take on more important and complex tasks for our customers. You are in the driving seat when it comes to your development and after just four to five years you can make the leap to senior consultant.

  • We are looking for: People with a higher degree in computer science/business informatics or business administration with a high degree of technical flair for data and entry level experience in programming
  • Good level of proficiency in German and English
  • Programme start dates: Flexible

SAP Junior Program

Our three-year training programme gives you the opportunity to enter the world of SAP. We give you the opportunity to start working in the areas of SAP process consulting, SAP development, SAP Basis, SAP analytics, SAP Cx, SAP ALM or SAP test management. Our dual training combines theoretical learning with the practical implementation of what has been learned from working on our clients’ projects. At the end of the training, you will be a certified SAP consultant with experience from various projects.

What you have to offer

  • We are looking for committed, eager-to-learn and goal-oriented junior professionals (preferably with entry level SAP experience as key users or project members from companies that use SAP)
  • Good German and English; Italian and/or French would be an advantage
  • Programme start dates: Every year in March and September (depending on subject)

Avaloq Junior Program

This two-year apprenticeship enables you to start your career as an Avaloq consultant. As a member of one of our Avaloq teams, you are employed on an 80–100% contract and support our bank clients with a diverse portfolio of projects. In the first year, you will receive a one-month Avaloq certification and will then learn the ropes working on various projects and as part of specialist teams. During this basic training, you will be assigned to one of our seven teams in the second year and will be able to further deepen your knowledge of Avaloq.

Customer Service Manager

The three-year Customer Service Manager (CSM) junior programme offers you a unique introduction to the world of ICT directly on the customer frontline. You cultivate a relationship based on trust to nurture long-term customer loyalty. Together with the team, you are also responsible for all service management topics in the ITIL lifecycle. During your CSM junior programme, you undergo an intensive learning and development journey. This includes training courses and sessions, coaching and close practical support.

What you have to offer

  • You have completed an apprenticeship in IT, banking, healthcare, etc. (or an apprenticeship with subject-related further training) and at least three years of relevant professional experience or you have completed a degree in business administration, IT and/or telecommunications).
  • Good German or French and English
  • Program start: Once a year / next start January 2024

IT Solutions Customer Operations West

The on-the-job training as a DevOps Engineer Security enables you to enter Swisscom's cyber security.
