Stefan Nünlist

Stefan Nünlist has been Head of Group Communications & Responsibility at Swisscom Ltd since September 2013 and a member of the Group Executive Board since April 2023. With a degree in law (lic. iur.) from the University of Freiburg, he is a lawyer and notary in the Canton of Solothurn. He also trained as a diplomat at the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs in Bern and graduated from the Wharton Advanced Management Program at the University of Pennsylvania, United States. Nünlist began his professional career as a lawyer and notary, then moved to the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs with diplomatic missions in South Africa, Geneva and Bern. He was personal assistant to Federal Councillors Delamuraz and Couchepin. From 1998, he served as Head of Communications at a number of different companies, first working at energy service provider Aare Tessin AG before joining Swisscom as Chief Communications Officer in 2001. After short periods with SBB and UBS, Nünlist took over his current position of Head of Group Communications & Responsibility at Swisscom in 2013.
