The Basellandschaftliche Kantonalbank founded Radicant in April 2021. A purely digital company that aims to offer personalised financial advice and sustainable financial solutions from 2022 onwards. Inclusion of the UN's 17 goals for sustainable development (Sustainable Development Goals 2030) will play a significant role.
Radicant is now establishing its first roots during the startup phase: the young company has chosen Swisscom and Finnova as its technology and outsourcing partners. Finnova provides the banking software that Swisscom will operate and further develop as a cloud-based banking solution together with other peripheral systems. Swisscom will also handle standardised business processes such as payment transactions and securities transactions for Radicant and manage the securities data.
In addition to the overall solution and the price, the solution's market maturity was also a decisive aspect for Radicant's decision. "Swisscom and Finnova are an experienced team with a long track record as a solid banking provider. What's more, Swisscom also shares some fundamental values with us as a sustainable telco company", says Dr. Anders Bally, CEO and co-founder of Radicant.
"We are pleased to make a contribution as partner and supplier to the development of the digital company Radicant and therefore also to sustainable development," says Robert Gebel, Head of Banking at Swisscom.
Swisscom provides comprehensive IT services to around 80 Swiss banks and handles business processes such as payment transactions or the securities business for another 50.
