Many companies are faced with the task of implementing AI responsibly. In the absence of suitable tools, employees often resort to external AI services, which entails data protection risks and a lack of control. This is exactly where the Swiss AI Assistant comes in: It is consistently geared towards data protection and compliance. All data is fully stored and processed in Swisscom’s Swiss data centres. This helps companies meet data protection, compliance, and digital sovereignty requirements and reap the benefits of AI in their business more quickly. According to Urs Lehner, Head of Swisscom Business Customers, “Digital sovereignty is a key concern for many companies and public institutions. The Swiss AI Assistant is consistently operated in Switzerland and gives companies full control over their data – a decisive alternative to freely available AI services.”
The Swiss AI Assistant uses several open source language models in unchanged form. No company data is used to train or improve basic models. Further models will be available in the future, including the large, open Swiss LLM Apertus.
