Why am I not reaching the maximum speed of my subscription in the tests?
The following reasons could be why you are not reaching the maximum speed of your subscription:
- Other programs are open on your computer.
- The computer is not directly connected to the Internet-Box via a network cable.
- Every time data is transferred, including when testing your internet speed, additional information is sent with each data packet. This information takes up bandwidth, which means that the test result will never show the maximum speed. This is the case with every internet provider.
Why do my measurement results differ when I run the Speedtest several times in a row?
The results depend on how heavily your Internet is currently being used. If an update is running in the background or others in the household are streaming at the same time, the available speed changes – and so does the test result.
